We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2024, at the age of 82, Joan Mays Stewart of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Emmett Earl Mays and Ethel Williams Mays; and her brother Joe Mays. She is survived by : her husband Darrell; her grandchildren, Kaelah, Madison, Jaxon, Carter, Brady, Corbin and Eleanor; and her sister Brenda Mays of Roanoke, Virginia.

Joan will be cremated and her ashes scattered with Darrell's. The family respectfully suggests that, in lieu of flowers, friends and family consider making a donation to a favorite charity or helping someone in need.
