He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Preston Parnell and Eulalia Easter Parnell; his wife Sandra Dalton Parnell; and his son Timothy H. Parnell. He is survived by: his sons, Patrick K. Parnell (Barbara) of Lynchburg and Jamie P. Parnell (Jessica) of Christiansburg; his grandchildren, Cobe, Kellen, Lane, Andy, Ashley and Michael; his great grandchildren, Makayla, Sylas and Piper; his brothers, Johnny Parnell of Vinton and Dennis Parnell of Marion; and his sister-in-law Julia Frazier (Don).
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Chestnut Hill Baptist Church (5225 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
