He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley Martin Sr. and Arie Snead Martin; and his sister Shirley Martin Paxton. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Lenn Martin of Clover Three; and his siblings, Lillie May Martin (Eugene) of Dryburg, Eva M. Hazelwood (James) of Scottsburg, Nora M. Pixley, James Wesley Martin Jr. (Carolyn) of Scottsburg, Bennie Martin (Donna) of Clover and Thomas Martin (Amy) of Scottsburg.
