She is survived by: her sisters, Gloderia Hutcherson and Shirley Rucker; her sisters-in-law, Jackie Ferguson and Sophie Ferguson; and her children, Elbert Avery, Jr., Patricia Jackson (Mark), Tamika Carter (Charlene), Cheree Carter-Osei (Paul) and Diane Grey. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
