We bid farewell to Lois Marie Owen Sandidge of Lynchburg, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 26, 2025 at the age of 83. Lois Marie Owen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward B. Owen, Sr. and Grace Y. Owen; her siblings, Bryan E. Owen, Sr. and Evelyn L. Owen; and her sister-in-law Mary Pat Owen.
She is survived by: her brother W. B. Owen, Jr. (Susan); her sons, Douglas W. Ridgeway, Jr. (Terri) and Barry O. Ridgeway (Gail); her grandchildren, Sarah R. Stone (Aaron), Lauren G. Ridgeway and Adam S. Ridgeway; and her great grandchild Parker W. Stone.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church (5810 Fort Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wickliffe Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org), the Lynchburg Humane Society (1211 Old Graves Mill Rd., Lynchburg, 24502) or Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.
