With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Cox Hollingsworth of Lynchburg, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Bourne Cox and Macon Adams Cox of Lynchburg; her brother William Edward Cox; her former husband Thomas Hubert Fox III; her daughter Chiswell Bourne Fox; her husband Eugene Francis Brown; and her son Tazewell Adams Brown of Paul's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by: her children, Macon Heald Fox and Suzanne Adams Brown; her former husband John Hayden Hollingsworth MD; her grandson Phillip Adams Brown; her nieces, Cynthia Cox Lane and Ruth Cox Choinier; and her nephew Edward Lee Cox.

The family requests for any donations to be made in Patty's memory to the National.
