She is survived by: her father Ellis Rankin; her husband Donald Carter of Lynchburg; her sister Jean Whorten of Broadway; her daughter Kelly Urbani (Brian) of Madison Heights; her grandchildren, Luke Urbani (Corrine) of Augusta and Michaela Urbani of Madison Heights; and her great grandchildren, Lilly Mae, Chase and Cooper Urbani of Augusta.
A member of Beulah Baptist Church on Leesville Road, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the church.
