He was predeceased by: his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Joann; his children, Susan Ferguson (Doug) of Salem, Edward Spall (Jill) of Manassas, John Spall (Wanda) of San Ramon, Laurie Vena (John) of Arlington and Richard Spall (Michelle) of Plano; his grandchildren, Daniel, Kelly, Brad Ferguson, Anna, Jack, Lucas Spall, Shawn Tsai, Annie Tsai, Colin Spall, Toby Spall, Anthony Vena, Allegra Vena, Donovan Spall and Elena Spall; and his siblings, Leonard Spall of Colorado Springs, Joseph Spall of Carbondale, MaryAnn Mikulak of Phoenix, Sally Kutchmanich of Carbondale and Ruth Bianco of Carbondale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the BARN Community Housing, Bristow VA, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, and the International Myeloma Foundation.
