He was predeceased by: his parents, James Layne and Edith Layne; his wife Nancy C. Layne; and his son Kenny R. Layne. He is survived by: his daughter Toni Sauder (Chris) of Front Royal, VA; his siblings, Mae Larkin (James) of Warrenton, VA, Chester Marshall (Susan) of Berryville, VA and Shirley Mercer of Valrico, FL; his grandchildren, Kian, Madison and Morgan; and his great grandchild Nicholas.
