She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Smyth Jr.; her parents, Linwood Carter and Juanita Carter; and her sister Nita Rivers. She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Mann (Beau), Jackie Conger (Fred) and Madonna Blackburn (Ron); and her brother Wayne Carter (Sharon). She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
