He was predeceased by: his parents, Winston Harlow and Lena R. Parks. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Sherwood Parks of Marion; his siblings, Glenda Ann Parks Byrd, Brenda Catherine Parks and Larry Kyle Parks; and his nieces, Deranda Byrd Roop, Terrie Byrd Lewis and Teresa Brooks Powers (Rodney).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Fraziers' Seaver-Brown Funeral Service & Crematory (237 E Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (231 Red Stone Rd, Chilhowie, VA 24319).
