With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anita Carol Childress of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Anita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Anita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband Freddie; her daughters, Samantha Hopkins, April Wright (Tommy) and Jennifer Robinson; her sisters, Rhonda Amos and Amanda Bowman (Norman); and her grandchildren, Russell Torrence, Alyssa Wright, Dedrick Robinson and Misha Robinson.
