He was predeceased by: his parents, Obediah Niblett and Virginia Smith Niblett; and his siblings, Mae Woody, Stephanie Hairston, Patricia Hamlett, Obediah Niblett, Jr. and Vernell Penn.
He is survived by: his children, Shareca Finney of Fayetteville, Sherica Law (William) of Martinsville and Demarcus Tarpley (Ken-Nisha) of Chester, Virginia; and his sisters, Mildred McCain (Freddie) of Eden, Katherine Moyer (Emmanuel) of Martinsville and Audrey Tolliver (Arthur) of Rocky Mount, Virginia. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
