It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Elizabeth Guthrie Martin of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Jacob and Alie Elizabeth Guthrie; her son George H. Martin, Jr.; and her siblings, Buddy, Ernest, Carl, Charlie Guthrie and Mae Parcell.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Keith Martin, Faye Sigmon, Reginia Williams and Carol Trammell; and her sister Mary Frances Wilson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the McCabe Memorial Baptist Church (107 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
