It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Hughes Jr. of Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Hughes, Sr. and Salle Belle Amos Hughes; and his sisters, Elouise Hughes Hoggins, Ferne Hughes and Pamela Hughes Blagman.
He is survived by : his sisters, Arlene Hughes Swanson (Danny) of Martinsville, VA and Haley Hughes Hairston of Bassett, VA; and his friend Constance Prunty. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
