It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gordon of Mathews, Virginia, born in Taunton, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gordon and Mary Arruda Gordon; and his brother Dennis Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Janice Kessinger Gordon; his children, Jay Gordon (Susan) of Cary, NC, Scott Gordon (Theresa) of Stephentown, NY and Kelli Belvin (Harry) of Gloucester, VA; his grandchildren, Brody, Rachel, Maria, Maggie, John Gordon, Jared and Abbi Belvin; his stepgranddaughters, Rebekah and Sarah McCracken; his stepgreat-grandson Hunter Lawson; and his siblings-in-law, Doyle Kessinger of Dixon, NE, Kayleen Elson (Don) of Omaha, NE and Joanne Gordon (Tvedt). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
