He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nellie Gay Hoover and Glenn Botkin; his spouse Selma Fleisher; his brother Galen Botkin; his children, Stephen Botkin (Lori) of McDowell, Sharon Botkin of Bridgewater, Dianne Gelzhiser (Bill) of Pittsburg, Anita McCray (Mac) of Churchville and Carol Bowden (Chip) of Singers Glen; his grandchildren, Kari Sponaugle (Michael, Sam Botkin), Susanna Gelzhiser, Daniel Gelzhiser, Eric Gelzhiser (Liz, Robin Gelzhiser) and Wyatt "Hooch" McCray; his great grandchildren, Jasper and Clu Sponaugle; his siblings, Jerry Botkin (Debbie) of Blue Grass and Martha Kimble (Carl Jr.) of Sugar Grove, W. V; and his sister-in-law Arlene Botkin of Sugar Grove, W. V. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
