Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Hazel Helmick (McDowell, Virginia), born in Doe Hill, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 88, on March 3, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Simmons (Smith) and John Albert Simmons; her husband Melvin Lee Helmick; her son Jerry Helmick; and her brother James William Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Dottie Randozzo of Greenville, Barbara J. Dean of Crimora and Ira Helmick (Barbara) of Bridgewater; her sister Mary Wimmer of Woodbridge; and her nephew Paul Puffenbarger. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
