It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Gerner (McGaheysville, Virginia), who passed away on May 7, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Barbara Ann Gerner to show support.

She is survived by : her husband Walter; her children, Gregory (Kerri) of Levittown, NY and Laura Watson (Michael) of Harrisonburg; her sister Emma McAvoy of Long Island, NY.; her grandchildren, Kyle Campion (Lea), Rebecca Martin (Paul), Bryan Gerner (Mary), Gregory Watson (Haylee), Sarah Scarlato (Michael), Emily Watson, Aaron Gerner, Kathryn Watson and Noah Hackmack; and her great grandchildren, Adalynn, Graham and Olivia.

Due to the pandemic a memorial service will be scheduled in the future.

In lieu of flowers the family is recommending a memorial gift to the St. Jude's Children's hospital in N.Y. http: //http://www.stjude.org.
