It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha M Prosise (McKenney, Virginia), who passed away on February 9, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ermitt Bland Prosise and Eddie Leonard Prosise; her siblings, Linwood Prosise, Wilbert Mabry and Alice Prosise Lee; and her brother-in-law Donald Glenn.

She is survived by : her sons, TreVawn Prosise of Maryland and Ray N. Prosise (Janecce) of Petersburg, VA; her grandchildren, Raeisha Weaver, Ray N. Prosise Jr., Terrell Prosise, Tray Prosise, Zyonna Walker, Dajah Marie Prosise, TreVawn J. Prosise Jr., Arriana J. Prosise, Alex Vernon, Demique Hines, KeAuzha Wims, D'Angelo Blount and Jah; her sisters, Mattie Briggs (Robert) of Prince George, Juanita Allen (Willie) of Henrico and Queen Glenn of Petersburg; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Mabry of Dinwiddie, Betty Campbell of Maryland and Garland Lee of Petersburg; her nieces and nephews, Terry Prosise (Shantita), Lamont Mabry (Shay) of Chesterfield, Robert Briggs Jr. of Tennessee, Lee Gholson Jr. (Marylin) of Florida, DaVawn Prosise, Darius Lawson of Petersburg, Kim Wiley (Samuel Sr.) of Columbia, VA, Deborah Hall (Phillip) of Ashburn and Revedia McLaughlin (Wesley) of Petersburg; her aunts, Helen Prosise, Alma Hardy and Thelma King of Dinwiddie; her cousin Nancie Wyatt of Dinwiddie; and her friends, Evelyn Womack, Bessie Stokes, Christine Prosise, Sylvia Gayden, Wanda, Tammie, Elaine, Velma, Ruth Parham, Chandrelle, Cathy, Colleen, Diamond and Gail Brower. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
