He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Edward and Dorothy Poole Spiers; his siblings, Betty Spiers Fleming and Emmett Frank Spiers; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Bowden and Neal Conwell.
He is survived by : his wife Mildred Conwell Spiers; his sons, David Allie Spiers, Jr. (Tina) and Gary Lawrence Spiers (Tanya); his grandchildren, Brandon Spiers, Megan Spiers, Morgan Spiers, Anna Spiers and Amber Bailey (Matt); his brother Lawrence Edward Spiers, Jr. (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Howard Conwell, Earl Conwell (Diane), Wilson Conwell (Pat), Larry Conwell, Eloise Stahl (Steve) and Sheila Conwell (Rick Pirkey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
