Cowan; his grandchildren, Tara Airhart (Jonathon), Andrew Hawkins (Lindsey), Adam Hawkins (Diana), Michael Hawkins, Jr., Kyle Halstead, Casey Hawkins, Cherie Bates (Brad), Nicole Evans (Andre), Christen Sausen (Michael), Jenifer Thomas (Brett) and Mary Evans (Brad); and his brothers-in-law, Elvin Ruddick (Shirley), Terry Ruddick and Doug Ruddick (Brenda). He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
