She is survived by : her nephew Kuwez Meleke Khalid; her niece Pamela Hamilton; her friends, Mildred Goode, Dora Goodwyn and Thelma Jones; her husband Legert Hamilton; her children, Adrian, Andretta and Raphael (Michelle); her grandchildren, Taylor, Benjamin and Jaylen; her brother Charlie Taylor (TheElla); her siblings-in-law, LeVaughan Hamilton, Melvin Hamilton (Hyacinth), Berlon Hamilton (Emma), Otis Hamilton (Ida), Albert Hamilton (Cora), Joyce Taylor and Mildred Jennings; her cousin Rosa Ann Green; and her close friends, Florence Branch, Lillian Coleman, Sally Hobbs, Mary Reed and Irene Westbrook. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home, Petersburg Chapel (530 S Sycamore St, Petersburg, VA 23803). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church (16616 Glebe Rd, Dewitt, VA 23840). A committal service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church (24230 Virgil H Goode Hwy, Boones Mill, VA 24065).
