She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira C. Fray and Mildred Fray (Maupin); her husband Walter I. Crutchfield, Jr.; her daughter Barbara Jo "Jody" Mays; her son-in-law Randy Gammon; her sister Maxine Garth (Fray); and her brother-in-law Harry Garth.
She is survived by: her children, Antoinette "Toni" Gammon and Walter I. Crutchfield, III; her daughter-in-law Shirley "Lou" Crutchfield; her grandchildren, William Tavenor Crutchfield, T. Brent Gammon (Tricia), Forest Mays (Mariah), Whitney Crutchfield Beegle (Jonathon) and Taylor Crutchfield (Lauryn); her son-in-law Kent Mays; and her friends, Judy Glenn, Bibi Canter, Vada Brusso and Sarah Escobar. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
