We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Gay P. Mitchell of Mechanicsville, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Gay P. is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gay P.'s spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband W. Roger Mitchell; her brother Jack Power; her sons, Glenn Mitchell (Mandy) and Cary Mitchell (Greta); her granddaughter Riley Mitchell; her great-nephew Ryan Shipman; her pet Gray; and her parents, Todd Power (Tiny Reynolds Power) and Gay. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hanover Christmas Mother fund.
