He was predeceased by : his wife Marie Valdrighi Aceto; his former life partner Barbara Tomei Aceto; his parents, Pasquale Aceto and Concetta Aceto; and his sister Olga Marcaccio.

He is survived by : his sons, David Aceto (Catherine) of Pittsburgh, PA and Steven Aceto; his stepchildren, Michele Elliott (Michael) of Mechanicsville, VA, L. Joseph Massei (Irena) of Barre, MA and L. John Massei (Robin) of Mechanicsville, VA; his grandchildren, Lydia Aceto of Pittsburgh, PA and Jonathan Aceto of Pittsburgh, PA.; and his sister Gina Cresto (Dominic) of Marco Island, FL..
