He was predeceased by: his parents, William Baker and Maria Baker; and his brother Frank Meredith Baker. He is survived by: his wife Sue Steed Baker; and his brothers, W. G. Baker, Jr. (Mary Lee) and John Dabney Baker (Linda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
