He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey C. Jones and Annie Dent Jones; and his former wife Merle Joyce Jones. He is survived by: his wife Carole Snyder Jones; his children, Richard D. Jones of Stephens City, VA and Robyn Jones Peffley (David) of Zuni, VA; and his stepchildren, Robert D. Snyder and Rebecca Havranek.
