He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Joseph DeForest, Sr. and Clara Deitz DeForest; and his siblings, George, Robert, Mary, Eileen and Debra.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his daughter-in-law Brenda (Michael Clarkson); his grandsons, Michael, Jr. and Jack; his sons, Henry and Jeff; his daughter-in-law Vicki; his granddaughters, Gabby and Gracie; his daughter Michelle; his granddaughter Autumn; his daughter Debra; his brothers, Richard and Jim; his sister-in-law Fran English; his stepdaughter Jessica; his grandchildren, Jaycee and Isaiah; his son-in-law Johnny; his grandchildren, Codey, Trevor and Raven; his great grandchildren, Nevayah, Jackson, Ben, Max, Ryan and Turner; and his granddaughter Emily. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1140 W Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Bedford, VA 24523). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Updike Funeral Chapel (1140 W Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Bedford, VA 24523). A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Holy Land Cemetery.
