It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Payne (Montpelier, Virginia), born in Goochland, Virginia, who passed away on August 1, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Payne and Tesora Payne; and his siblings, May Sorrell, Wilmore Payne, Richard Payne, Elvin Payne and Ernest Payne.

He is survived by : his former life partner Florence Payne; his grandchildren, Daryl Hall, Travis Hall (Megan), Ben Gilman, Ema Gilman and Luc Gilman; his great grandchild Nelson Hall; his siblings, Nancy Hodges, Joyce Barden and Marvin Payne; and also, Beverly Hall (Donnie) and Michelle Gilman (Howard).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's UMC.
