With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Penelope Carter of Mount Sidney, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2025. She was predeceased by: her brother Dawsen Richard Curry; her grandmother Debra Lee Curry; and her great-grandparents, Lesley, Ethel "Marie" Curry and Marion Newkirk.
She is survived by: her parents, Gabriel David Carter and Nicole Page Carter of Mt. Sidney; her brother Zacharia David Carter; her grandparents, Dana "Gigi" Puffenbarger and Chris Puffenbarger; and her great-grandparents, Sheryl Newkirk, Linda and David Whetzel. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and her many cousins.
