He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" MacCord Matthews; and his son Steven Andrew Matthews. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Matthews Jones (Dick), Harry Glen Matthews, Jr. and William Edward Matthews (Deena); his granddaughters, Saskia Kaplin, Jaida Matthews, Heather Wilson and Charlotte Jones; his former wife Harriet Monroe Miller; his sister Helen Winn (Jack); and his brother-in-law Art MacCord (Allison). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Feeding Southwest Virginia, an organization that Harry and Ginny happily supported for many years.
