She was predeceased by: her parents, James William "Major" Gilliland and Bertha Powell Gilliland; her husband Clarence William "Bill" Dawson, Sr.; her grandson David Yesalavich; her great grandchild Colin Hudson; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Dawson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda D. Puccio (Vincent) of Martinsville, Jackie D. Yesalavich (Joseph) of Nathalie, Jane D. Keel (Wiley) of Mechanicsville, C. W and Dawson Jr. (Deborah Hunt) of Nathalie; and her grandchildren, Anthony Puccio, William Joseph Puccio, Christopher Puccio (Samantha), Christie Yesalavich-Pulliam (Joel), Angela Yesalavich (Chris Hite), Amy Faires (Jason), Allison Graham (Josh) and Traci McKinney (Jeremiah). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
