She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Bostic and Betty Harry Bostic. She is survived by : her husband Gary Shires of New Castle; her son Adam Shires (Emily Berry); her grandchildren, Katie Berry of Roanoke, Forest Berry of Roanoke and Michael Berry of Roanoke; and her sister Tina Price of New Castle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Tana's name be made to: ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
