She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Merritt and Mary Merritt (Peterson); her husband Clifton R. Beasley; and her son-in-law Grover E. "Drizzle" Wilgus Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Faye Wilgus of Windsor, VA and Barry P. Mapp II (Traci) of Colonial Heights, VA. She is also survived by six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
