She was predeceased by: her parents, William L. Hudgins and Jessie Lee Smith; her former husband Guy W. Mullis; and her husband Henry Nix. She is survived by: her daughters, Joice Burnette (Steve) of Mathews, Terry Robinson of Henrico, VA and Amy Halliwell (David) of North Augusta, SC; her stepson Boyd Nix (Sharon) of Williamsburg; her grandchildren, Sarah B. Sweet (Mike), Scott Halliwell and Paul Burnette; her stepgranddaughters, Michelle Lyons (Matt), Laura Nix Berg (Wayne) and Melissa Nix (Angel); her great grandchild Sullivan Sweet; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Alana Lyons and Ethan Lyons; and her sisters, Betsy Ripley of Mathews, Janice Phillips of Mathews and Ellen McGowan of Gloucester. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
