In bidding Albert adieu, let us not mourn the silence that now fills the spaces Albert once occupied, but rather celebrate the vibrant colors he painted upon the canvas of our lives. For while he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Mason T. Hayes and Estelle Anderson Hayes. He is survived by : his wife Alice Wallace; his daughter Allison Hayes; and his granddaughter Alexis. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home (3009 Chestnut Ave, Newport News, VA 23607). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Triumph Christian Center (5501 Huntington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607).
