She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Gordon and Juliana Gordon; and her niece Karima Gordon. She is survived by: her children, Osman Gordon (Laverne) and Shakima Nesbitt (Lorne); her grandson Amir Nesbitt; her great grandchild Naomi Nesbitt; her brother Roderick Gordon (Anna); and her sibling's children, Cyndee Frontal (Luis), Khadija Rivera (Luis), Khalilah Gordon, Medina Roberts, Roderick Gordon, Jr. and Eugene Gordon. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She later continued her commitment as a member and leader of Gamma Upsilon Omega Chapter in Hampton, Virginia, serving as Vice President, President, and Secretary of the Ivy Foundation of Hampton, Inc.
