She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hessie Herbert and Goldie Herbert; her husband Johnny Lee Hogue; and her children, Johnny Lee Hogue, Jr., Stephen Lawrence Hogue, David Richard Hogue, Bernice Elaine Hogue Richardson and Karen Denise Hogue Fary. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren; cousins, other relatives and many friends.
