She was predeceased by: her husband Booker W. Howard; and her parents, Cornelia Worthy and George A. Galloway. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Brass (Eric Sr.); her stepson Dominic Edwards; her grandsons, Devan, Eric Jr. and Nehemiah; and her sister Olivia Truman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
After graduation, Emma worked as a social worker for many years and then transitioned to the home health care industry until COVID hit.
