Frances Hathaway Hoessly Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Hathaway Hoessly (Newport News, Virginia), who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Hathaway and Texie Hathaway; her husband Charles F. Hoessly; her son Bruce Hoessly; her granddaughter Francie; and her siblings, Luther, Bruce, Ralph Hathaway and Anne Hathaway Sommers.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy; her daughter-in-law Kim Hoessly of Gig Harbor, WA.; her siblings, Honey H. McAnally, Curtis and Fred Hathaway; Leonard, Sarah Bissett (John) of Chesapeake, VA, Curtis Hoessly (Robin) of Chesapeake, VA, David Hoessly (LuAnn) of Chesapeake, VA and Anne Pickens (Rich) of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be sent to New Day Church, 1620 Handcross Way in Virginia Beach VA.
