We are sad to announce that on March 30, 2023, George I. Bane of Newport News, Virginia, born in South Boston, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bane and Alice Bane; his brother Jerry W. Bane; and his close friend Clell "Rusty" Hart. He is survived by: his wife Barbara C. Bane; his children, George Matthew Bane (Heidi) and Ashley Westphal Swain (Robert); his grandchildren, Tyler M. Bane (Chandlyr Blake), Rilee L. Bane, McKenna L. Swain and Emerson A. Swain; his great grandchildren, Bodhi M. and Blakely M. Bane; his sister Carolyn Mitchell; his aunt Myrtle Seay; and his brother-in-law Jack Carper, II.
