She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wallace Branch, Sr. and Gladys P. Branch; her brother Stephen Branch; her sister-in-law Carol Branch; and her brother Walter Wallace Branch, Jr. (Joan).
She is survived by: her husband Herman; her sons, David (Linda) and Kevin (Dawn); and her sister-in-law Nancy Branch. She is also survived by three grandsons, six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Peninsula Memorial Park (12750 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23606).
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Joan's name to your favorite animal rescue society as she could not stand to see animals abused.
