With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leopoldo Ruiz of Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Ruiz and Leopoldo Ruiz; and his siblings, Ismael Ruiz and Rosa Ruiz. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Melendez; his daughters, Rosa Ruiz, Maria Ruiz and Roselyn Ruiz-Lipsey; his son-in-law Paul Lipsey (Naralyn Ortega); his brother Rafael Ruiz; and his grandchildren, Jeslyn Ruiz, Kiaralyn Lipsey, Jorel Lipsey, Amialyn Lipsey, Dennis Delvalle, Angel Robles, Erica Robles, Sirrena Young, Virginia Gotay, Angelic Gotay and Cianna Ruiz. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family.
