He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Coles Sr. and Lillian H Coles; and his sisters, Wanda L Coles and Paula D Coles-Hill. He is survived by: his son Marcus Harper; his sisters, Gwendolyn D Gatling of Newport News and Jennifer V Coles of Newport News; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Gatling and Samuel Hill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
