He is survived by: his wife Yovonda Middlebrooks of Newport News, VA; his mother Nancy Bumpass of Newport News, VA; his sister Nancy Smalls (Jerome) of Yorktown, VA; his sibling's children, Niyala Steele and Terrance Steele of Newport News, VA; his stepchildren, Treyquan Bennafield, Dante Blockett Jr., Tayvion Blockett and Serenity Bennafield; his stepgranddaughter Maggie; his great-nephew Amais King; and his great-niece Kireina Skyy. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, special step granddaughter, great-aunts, aunts, great-uncles, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
