He was predeceased by: his parents, James Catherines and Evelyn Catherines; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Catherines; his daughters, Amy (Mike) and Marcie (Duggan); and his grandchildren, Olivia and Lucas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (3801 Augusta Ave, Richmond, VA 23230). A prayer will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral (30 Malvern Ave, Richmond, VA 23221). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8100 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
