She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Carrington and Catherine A. Buckingham Carrington; and her brothers, Bennie Carrington and Thomas Carrington. She is survived by: her sons, Rodney Carrington, Sr. (Tye) of Hampton, GA and Eric Carrington (Senora) of Covington, GA; her siblings, Faye D. Carrington of Norfolk, VA, Fannie Spruill of Norfolk, VA, Dennis Carrington, Sr. (Pauletta) of Norfolk, VA and Dr. Gary Carrington of Cleveland, OH; her grandsons, Rodney Carrington, Jr. (Whitney) of Tulsa, OK, Ryan Carrington of Los Angeles, CA, Regan Carrington of Hampton, GA, Bryce Carrington and Myles Carrington of Richmond, VA; her great grandchildren, Casey of Stone Mountain, GA, Teagan and Luna Carrington of Tulsa, OK; her aunt Henrietta Buckingham of Richmond, VA.; and her friends, Dennis Claggion, Hazel Baker, Julia Hill, Odessa Thompson, Linda Howcott and Arlene Allen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates, and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (7246 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
