“Delores, I am heartbroken to learn of your passing after the fact. Our friends thought I knew and failed to call me. We wer friends for over 60 years. You were one of the first friends I met in high school. You were ill when you visited with my mother six months ago; however, I never thought you would slip away without me saying good-bye. We are planning to memorialize you and our friend Rosa in August. I will always remember our friendship. May you rest in peace with Zip and Betty Jean.”
