It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Greenberg of Norfolk, Virginia, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Makosky; his children, William "Billy" Greenberg, Terri Noel and Mark Schermerhorn; and his grandson Richard Schermerhorn.
He is survived by: his close friend LaVerne Shapkoff; his children, David Greenberg, Tami Vangorder, Sandy Hanson and Ricky Schermerhorn; his brother Norman Greenberg; his grandchildren, David "DJ", Jessica, Adam, Jerome, Ryan, Hannah, Elizabeth, Robert, Molly, Krista, Marky and Jacob; his sibling's children, Debbie, Larry and Michael; and his friends, Gussie, Clarence, Charlie, Hank, Bill and Mike. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, which was always close to his heart, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
